Written and directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski and starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving, The Matrix was one of the highest-grossing movies of 1999 and has become one of the most influential sci-fi and action movies of all time.
